Conditions of Entry & Liability Waiver

Little World is an immersive, themed indoor play experience designed for children aged 1 and above through to early primary school years. Children explore a range of role-play rooms at their own pace during 90-minute ticketed sessions. All sessions are attended by a parent or guardian — Little World is not a drop-off service.

Little World operates with a controlled maximum session capacity determined by management, having regard to safety, comfort and operational requirements. Session capacities may vary from time to time. Sessions run four times per day.

A parent or legal guardian must accompany all children at all times throughout the session and must remain on-site for the entire duration of the visit. You are solely responsible for the safety, conduct and wellbeing of the child or children in your care.

Little World staff are present to facilitate the experience and assist with operational matters. Staff are not responsible for supervising individual children. Responsibility for each child rests solely with the accompanying parent or guardian at all times.

Please keep a close eye on the child or children in your care, including how their play might affect other visitors. If their behaviour risks injury to another child or adult, please step in to help keep things safe for everyone.

The following conditions apply to all visitors:

• Socks must be worn by all children and adults in the play areas at all times. Socks are available for purchase at reception if required.
• Children must remain within the designated play areas and be actively supervised by their accompanying adult throughout the session.
• No outside food or drink is permitted in the venue. Drinks and light refreshments are available from the on-site café.
• All props, costumes and play items are provided by Little World and are to remain on site and returned to the play area at the end of your session. Personal items brought from outside are not permitted in the play areas.
• Children who are unwell — including those with fever, vomiting, diarrhoea or any contagious condition — are politely asked to stay at home. If your child becomes unwell during a session, we ask that families head home to rest up. Our team may need to facilitate this where a child's condition affects the comfort or safety of other visitors.

Area-specific rules. The following age and entry requirements apply to specific areas within the venue:

• Soft Play Area: suitable for children under 2 years only. No children aged 2 or older are permitted in this area. Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
• Ring Road Area: recommended for children aged 1–5 years, however children over 5 are welcome to play as well. Please note some ride-on vehicles and equipment may have size or weight limits and as such, may not be suitable for all children — please have regard to this when your child plays. Non-motorised ride-on vehicles only. Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
• Themed Play Rooms: designed primarily for children in the preschool and early primary years. Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult.

Little World is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all visitors. The following conduct requirements apply:

• Rough play, pushing, hitting, and climbing on structures not designed for climbing are not permitted.
• You are expected to actively manage the behaviour of the child or children in your care at all times.
• Children in the Ring Road area must remain on foot-to-floor ride-on vehicles only. Standing on, racing or misusing vehicles is not permitted.
• Hot drinks purchased from the café may be brought into the play areas in a takeaway cup with lids. Parents and guardians bringing hot drinks into play areas are responsible for keeping them out of reach of children at all times, including their own and other children, and for any spillage or injury that may result.
• Any behaviour that, in the reasonable opinion of Little World staff, compromises the safety, comfort or enjoyment of other visitors may result in an immediate request to modify that behaviour.
• Little World reserves the right to require any visitor (adult or child) to leave the venue where their behaviour poses a risk to safety, causes distress to others, or is otherwise inappropriate or disruptive. No refund will be provided for any unused portion of the session in these circumstances.

• Visitors bring personal belongings to Little World entirely at their own risk.
• Little World does not accept responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings, clothing or valuables brought into the venue.
• Little World does not provide a cloakroom or secure storage facility.
• Little World provides dedicated pram parking space within the venue. Spaces are limited.
• Items left in the venue at the end of a session will be held for 14 days. Unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of after this period.

Little World welcomes personal photography and video of your own family, subject to the following:

• You may photograph and film your own child or children during your visit for personal use.
• You must not deliberately photograph, film or record other children or adults in the venue without their express consent.

From time to time, Little World may take general photographs or videos of the venue and play areas for promotional, marketing or social media purposes. Where an identifiable image of a child is intended to be used for these purposes, Little World will seek separate consent from the parent or guardian beforehand.

Little World is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children who visit the venue. Little World operates in accordance with the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 (Qld) and has implemented the ten Child Safe Standards prescribed under that Act.

All staff and relevant volunteers at the venue hold current Blue Cards issued under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (Qld). Little World maintains a current Risk Management Strategy as required under that Act.

If you have any concerns about child safety during your visit, please notify a staff member immediately.

For the safety and security of all visitors and staff, Little World operates CCTV recording throughout the venue. Footage may be used to assist with safety, security and incident investigation purposes.

Little World is an active play environment. By entering the venue, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Active play involves inherent and obvious risks of physical injury, including trips, slips, falls, bumps and collisions with other visitors, play structures or props (including those involving another child's play). These are risks that are a normal and expected part of the activities offered and would be obvious to a reasonable person in your position.
• The venue contains specific foreseeable risks that you have been made aware of, including: collision between children in free play areas; trips caused by soft toys, ride-on vehicles or equipment on the floor; contact with low walls or play structures; finger pinch points on props and equipment; illness transmission in a shared play environment; and the risk of burns from hot drinks, which must be kept within the café area and are not permitted in the play spaces.
• These risks exist even where Little World takes all reasonable precautions to maintain a safe environment.
• Certain risks cannot be eliminated by the exercise of reasonable care — these are inherent risks to which no duty of care applies.
• You have assessed the suitability of the venue and its activities for your child(ren) having regard to their age, developmental stage, physical condition and individual needs — and have taken any precautions you consider necessary (for example, bringing required medication or informing staff of relevant needs).
• Little World does not represent that its activities are suitable for every child. Suitability may vary based on individual abilities, interests, developmental needs and temperament.
• You voluntarily accept, on your own behalf, all inherent and obvious risks of injury or loss associated with participation in activities at Little World.

These acknowledgements are given in reliance on the Civil Liability Act 2003 (Qld).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, including section 139A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) where applicable, Little World excludes its liability for death or personal injury caused by a failure to supply recreational services with due care and skill, to the extent that such liability arises from the supply of recreational services to which this document relates.

Nothing in these Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies:

• any right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified;
• any non-excludable consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law; or
• any liability arising from conduct that is reckless.

You agree to indemnify Little World, its officers, employees and agents against any loss, damage, claim or liability caused or contributed to by:

• your own conduct during the visit; or
• the conduct of the child or children in your care during the visit; or
• your failure to comply with these Conditions of Entry.

This indemnity does not extend to any loss or liability caused or contributed to by the negligence or wrongful act or omission of Little World or its staff.

Governing Law: these Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Conditions is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Severability: if any provision of these Conditions is found to be void, invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

Amendment: Little World may update these Conditions from time to time. The version displayed at the point of booking and at the venue entrance at the time of your visit is the version that applies to that visit.

By purchasing a ticket or entering the venue, you confirm on your own behalf that you have read, understood and agree to these Conditions of Entry. You acknowledge that these Conditions do not purport to extinguish or limit any independent legal right that a child accompanying you may hold.

These Conditions are displayed at the point of online booking, at the venue entrance, at reception, and on the Little World website.
